Join the FC Laval CDC program to learn, progress and live your passion for soccer in an fun and safe enviroment!
The FC Laval Club Development Center (CDC) is a training program for players aged 4 to 12, focused on developing their skills and passion for the game.
The goal of the Club Development Center (CDC) program is first and foremost to ensure that children develop their emotional and social state so that they can develop their optimal athletic potential in a healthy, safe and supportive environment. We want to highlight their athletic abilities in order to pursue and achieve their sporting dream. The creation of the CDC will allow us to offer a better service to our youth from 4 to 12 years old because we
will have better control of the environment, both physical and the quality of our educators.
IT EMPHASIZES THE IMPORTANCE OF PROVIDING EQUAL TRAINING AND ATTENTION TO EACH FC LAVAL PLAYER, HELPING THEM REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL, BOTH IN TERMS OF SKILLS AND PERSONAL GROWTH.
At FC Laval, our training program aligns with the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model established by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA). Our primary goal is to meet the individual needs of each player in the club, helping them not only learn and improve in the sport, but also ensuring they have fun while doing it.
The Club Development Center (CDC) is a specialized program within FC Laval that focuses on the personal growth of each player through a variety of drills and games designed to improve their skills and understanding of the game.
OUR CDC PROGRAM OFFERS A COMPLETE STRUCTURE:
● Knowledge development, flexible player training without pressure to win a match.
● Our main objective is to offer a harmonious development practice while respecting the human being.
● Through the CDC, parent volunteers will be in contact with accredited professionals and will be able to better support their introduction as team staff or as educators while being a privileged witness to their child's sporting development.
● This is a creative project where collaboration between different stakeholders is strongly encouraged.

Canada Soccer’s Grassroots Standards have been designed to foster the best possible learning and development environment for all young players in Canada. The Grassroots Standards are based on global best practices while also reflecting the realities of Canadian soccer. It is our responsibility to ensure that all of our children are able to play soccer in a safe, fun, accessible, inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment.
Canada Soccer recommends a “workshop” approach to training. Players move from one skill-building activity to another at regular intervals. The amount of time spent on each activity varies depending on the age of the player. Each training session is organized around four or five activity workshops. Putting these four “pillars” of training into practice in each session will help develop well-rounded young players with a foundation of physical literacy, strong soccer skills, and ideally, a lifelong love of the game. Players are monitored on the field by our technical team and are evaluated on criteria that encompass all aspects of the player.
